Fillet Weld Fracture Test

This test has the same principle as the nick-break test, i.e. the test permits evaluation of any weld defects across the fractured surfaces of the tested weld. The test procedure involves making a single saw cut along the centre line of the weld face on a fillet weld and breaking the weld open by striking the specimen with a hammer.
